Terrible food and poor service at really expensive prices. It's unfortunate what this restaurant has become after the change of ownership. Avoid at all costs!
Very good place, cheapest seafood restaurant. Sometime they seafood is cheaper than supermarket.
Don't bother going to this place. Shrimp Dumplings were gross, seemed like they just defrosted it when the order was placed for it. I could make better at home. Pan-fried beef noodles were cold when brought to table so they obviously weren't cooked fresh. Rest of the stuff ordered was average to below average. I would not recommend going to this place at all. Save your money for somewhere else.
incredible professional and candid service that promotes a diverse acuity of customers and friendly and fast service. seriously the bus boy was like a military ninja but also kind and polite. manager was nice. food came piping hot. great on friday night. tea was frequently refilled 👌 lots of food for a great price. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Slow service. Very small portions of food for the price.
Have no idea why there's so many 5 star ratings. Either these people have never had good Chinese food or its the owners. First of all prices aren't cheap it's usually 15 dollars for medium sized dishes, including simple things like noodles. The sauces on the dishes were bland for our veggie and mushroom chowmein the sauce was cornstarch, water and probably MSG, no flavour just goopy sauce. And for the Buddhist "feast" absolutely no flavour either, just a bland sauce that was brown for no reason. Ginger beef was overcooked and chewy. Rice was boring and hard. I literally have no idea why it's rated well. Gave it 3 stars because they were very nice and polite and did serve us tea a lot.
My favorite Chinese restaurant in Surrey. Very tasty food at reasonable price.
Was fairly quiet for a Saturday night. Dishes were ok, nothing spectacular, but everything was a bit too salty. Service was good but the dishes came out quite slow. May go back during day time to try their dim sum.
We ordered to go. They took our order and then we waited in the restaurant for them to get our order ready. 30 min later they told us they cannot serve us. They said " go to a different restaurant"
I'm happy with the meal and service the seafood is the best to end the dinner.
Don't even want to give ONE Star. Food is HORRIBLE. The owner is a couple and offered very bad service. They even yelled and abused a customer because the customer didn't want to pack the food (Because packing the left over need to pay $10, but the food was really suck and didn't even worth for $10.) The pork short ribs was too salty and other dimsum were too sweet. (There wasn't much dimsum to choose tho). Crab was not fresh. WOREST restaurant I have ever had!!!! Don't GO
Today we went for dinner, arrived at 6:30pm, ordered 5 different dishes ,including wonton soup. After waiting for over an hour we left without getting our food. Unacceptable service.
$22 all you can eat Chinese including crabs and oysters. Ecellent value though service is slow
good wonton soup. fresh shrimp balls!
We had Siu Mai, Shrimp Dumpling, Steamed Mini Curry Octopus, Spring Rolls, Bean Curd Roll and Beef with Pan Fried Rice Noodles. The portions are generous and the food delicious. The only place I'll go to for Dim Sum in Delta!
Knock knock!Who`s there? If you wanna keep your restaurant up and running, don't let you goddam kids run around freely.
Bad service. Clams were not fresh, and we still had to pay for them!! Server forgot 3 items in our order. We will not be going back there 😣
Went here for Mothers Day. Worst experience ever. Bad service. Food did not all come at the same time. They brought out food one dish at a time within almost an hour's time. The rice came at the very end when we were done eating all the dishes. Seafood was not fresh. We didn't even eat the clams and gave them back...staff still charged us for them! Very very dissatisfied!! Will never go back here.
There are much to be improved, but considering it is newly opened, I have lowered my standards. Starting with the pros:- clean restaurant, open and organized- good deal on the groupons- wontons and pot stickers were very very authentic, it reminded me of home. - oysters were great, it was really freshCons:- crab meat were mushy, and came in 3 flavours: salt and pepper, spicy, and a mix of spices and pepper. (Vaguely translated)- lacking professionalism: AYCE menu was typed out in word with no formatting, waitress was very casual, they brought a bucket for bones and parts instead of changing platesFirst impression, maybe a solid 70%. There were amazing authentic Chinese food like wonton and potstickers, but the seafood seems to be a hit or miss.
**UPDATE**: This place has a new owner now, the restaurant has been renovated and renamed to 'Yummy Seafood Restaurant'. The menu is quite similar, however, it tastes completely different. The prices also have increased greatly, and the portions are very small.
Food taste especially portion is not worth the price. The service was terrible. We waited for over an hour. We ordered 5 items and each came every 20 minutes. Rice came in between. We asked for simple salt and pepper and a serving of coke (twice!) And it never came. We ended up cancelling our 5th item because we just just became frustrated overall. It is not even busy that time.other tables got frustrated too.
I go there all the time, the food is DELICIOUS.
First of all, I am a Chinese who live in delta for over 11 years. And , I am every picky on the food. That is why for last 11 years I rarely eat in delta because all the so called "chinese restraunt" are fusion-ed too much , they are not authentic chinese food anymore. Recently there are 3 restaurants opened or reopened. this one is one of them. I decided to give it a try on my birth day. It is actually quite authentic and taste good. Price is reasonable as well. Highly recommended. However, before I went I saw there are some review said it is worse than before. I tell you why. before , they are not actually chinese food. they are so bad that I won't touch. with that kind of quality, price is cheaper for sure. A word to owner, why not keep two menu there to suit different people's taste. Don't forget delta is a mix people living city and we do need fusion chinese food to others including price. Let them choose and you will be in a better condition.
This place is very spacious and service from their staff is friendly and quick. Food is decent and price is reasonable. My friend got coupon for a party order from a website and we enjoyed our food
I just tried the lobster combo. It is a very good deal with only $39.88 to have a whole lobster,2 oysters, one soup and fied rice. worth to try!!
Food was bland and way overpriced for the portion. Under different owner/management now. Such a shame as I remembered the food being tasty. Stick to Chongqing, Neptune or Lee Yuen
Not the greatest place. the menu has changed and the whole atmosphere of what it was before is gone. Would never go back to place again.
Always amazing. I've been going here forever. The staff are lovely and the food is fantastic. Good prices too!
Good quality food for the most part! Server wasn't able to answer any of our questions about the food. Good atmosphere. Wouldn't recommend the dessert. Everything else was amazing.
New owner ruined this restaurant. Tofu was soggy and full of oil, sweet and sour soup had almost nothing in it, and the prices are just ridiculous for the portions you get.
Saw on the newspaper that they were offering a lobster combo for 38.88 instead of the usual 78.88, decided to check it out since that was a great deal. Little did I know that they did not accept this coupon and instead the 38.88 deal had a smaller lobster and half of the oysters. Would not recommend.
Worst Customer service saw the owner just walking around the restaurant looking very miserable. Also I felt like I was rushed eating my food. Would not recommend 👎
Sent they changed owner foods and service are going downhill.
My experience with this brand new restaurant. Decoration was totally outdated and all staff are untrained. Some sea food was not fresh, especially the crabs. some of the meat was very dark inside. the taste was alright through. but their dim-sum only as good as burgers at McDonald's. yuck! I brought coupon for $21. and before you know it, they show two different menu for customer who brought coupon and regular customer who paid price. Obviously regular customer have a lot more varieties to choose from. the staff were friendly enough. Environment 2Service 3Taste 3Price 3
The food is not worth the price, and the service is average. They also forgot a dish.
This restaurant is a very clean and friendly restaurant. The food is good for the price which you will not get from any other restaurants. Besides the food, the staff is very friendly and always ready to help out a customer that is in need! I highly recommend anyone that is planning to try out seafood or host a party/event here. If you eat even once at this restaurant I bet it's going to be 1st of your list of restaurants.
Terrible place. waited 40 mins to get our order. never got it. waitress ignores us. Racist place served 9 white people who came after us. completely ignored us. Also don't order there crab or lobster most of the stuff in the tank is super dirty and dead
The food is tasty but seems pricier as of late. The decor is out dated.
Portions a little small, flavourful. Fast attentive service
Pineapple was fermented so going bad. Server did nothing to remedy. It used to be good. New owner? Dishes are smaller & disappointing.
Think of that one star as a giant lump of coal. Wow my sister and I went today with my toddler niece and it was a horrible experience. We were regulars when it was Yummy Wonton House and it was great. These new owners have turned a great restaurant into a horrible one. The less than mediocre food is so over priced and the service is lousy. The employees look like they're all in need of naps walking around like zombies. We sent back something that we didn't like and barely ate, but we still ended up having to pay for it. Normally restaurants take that dish off your bill, but not these guys. So extremely disappointed I won't be surprised if they end up having to shut down. I will never be going back to Yummy Seafood Restaurant. Also and this is probably really rude to say but it has to be said to the owners/management....please make sure your employees have a working knowledge of the English language.
Went in with a Groupon. Not sure about the regular menu, but with the Groupon you get mediocre food with long waits.
Got the all you can eat special deal voucher and tried. Actually pretty decent dim sum for about $20 per person. The honey wings are the best I have tried for a long time. Worth a try.
Prices up, Service down -- under new ownership, and between the blazing LED lights (replaced bulbs but not fixtures), addition of sport tv screens, and the wait staff that have never served customers or trained (I had to fetch my own water, utensils, etc) , it is not recommended. I noted that the vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, carrots) are pre-cut and old as the ends were brown. The menu is not laid out well and descriptions are wrong in English.(e.g., "Pre-cabbage" instead of "Bean sprouts" ?). We waited a long time for food, at an uncomfortable room / table, and there was a 15+ minute delay between dishes arriving (two separate diners), despite there only being 3 tables occupied for mid week dinner service.
they r re-open at 1st OCT . they addon some japanese style lunch box and something more.also they plan to do free delivery I think
I went to this restaurant with my colleagues last Wednesday night. We bought the all you can eat coupon for $50 per person, which included one lobster, one abalone, one crab, 2 scallops, 2 oysters, sea cucumber, shrimps, salmon and squid. The only seafood that tasted ok were the oysters, abalone, and squid. The rest of the seafood was terrible- it tasted very old and wasn't fresh at all, especially the lobster and the crabs. How disappointing, as I love eating seafood. We only ate half of the lobsters as it was so stale that we couldn't stand to eat anymore. We did try to let our waiter know about this issue, but he quickly dismissed our complaints and tried to make excuses. We definitely will not come back to this restaurant again.
The portions were small and prices were high. The noodles (with the small crab) were half-cooked and stiff. The lamb was drowned in oversized chunks of peppers and salt. The deep fried pork lacked meat (mostly bone and fried bits). The staff were slow to respond and slow to serve. They seemed oblivious to the terrible quality of food and service. The table behind ours left two whole plates of food untouched when they left. It may be an empty restaurant partly because it's new, but the awful quality likely is the real reason. This big, empty space should be replaced with a gym. Or a landfill since they're already serving garbage.
I bought all you can eat voucher. It was a great deal. The food is large size and delicious. Strongly recommend Bifengtang crab.
By far the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The dinner for four is more like dinner for one. Pathetic portions. Everyone was still hungry after! The food was cold and the "lemon chicken" looked like it was cooked days ago and pulled out of the fridge. $60 I'll never see again. Stay away from this place.
Unfortunate the restaurant changed hands. Used to be the best Chinese food in town but it's gone to garbage now. Overpriced and honestly terrible. We will not be eating there again.
